Parable of the Restored House

What shall we compare the kingdom of heaven to? It is like a man, who upon discovering his childhood house was in short sale and in an area that had become riddled with crime decided to send his son to acquire and restore it. After a messy ordeal with the previous tenants, and a bigger battle with the wicked owner, the house was re-acquired and restoration began. The son gathered all his friends together and they went about making the whole house as new as he directed and helped. There weren't just a few troubles along the way. Yet, in doing all this they showed great love and were a light in that dark neighborhood. Soon they began inviting neighbors for supper and eventually even the previous tenants came back amazed and celebrated with them. Many in that neighborhood benefited from the work of the son and came to know his father as their own.
